We want to collaborate with campaigns and projects focused on climate change, archival institutions preserving climate-related collections, and other national and international archives associations and projects seeking to address the impact of climate change on the archival profession. Please contact us to discuss opportunities for collaboration!
We are honored to be partnering with the following organizations:
DearTomorrow is a place for people to share how they think and feel about climate change. What will you say when your children ask: “You knew about climate change. What did you do about it?” DearTomorrow asks people to look at the future through the eyes of their children and write and submit letters to the future.
ProjectARCC is partnering with DearTomorrow to preserve a digital time capsule of letters to be delivered to recipients in 2050, and ensure the long-term preservation and access of the collection for future research and understanding. If your archives institution is interested in learning more and/or acquiring this collection, please contact us.
The American Library Association’s Sustainability Roundtable (SustainRT) was created as a venue in which members exchange ideas and opportunities regarding sustainability in order to move toward a more equitable, healthy and economically viable society.
The mission of the organization is to provide resources for the library community to support sustainability through curriculum development; collections; exhibits; events; advocacy, communication, library buildings and space design. SustainRT is open to all ALA members and will include both individual members and organizational members.
As part of its mission, the SustainRT is collecting information on books, articles, websites, blogs, social groups, and projects that fall under the umbrella of Sustainable Libraries. Please use this form to suggest resources or projects that will become part of our SustainRT Sustainability Database.
